Beacon blanket robes are iconic, with good reason. So warm, so soft so cozy! The robe is styled with the typical shawl collar and two large patch pockets. Pockets and cuffs have faux cuffs, which are edged in narrow cording of white & dark purple. The same cording edges the collar and continues along the front edges to the bottom hem

FABRIC/COLORS: The weave is reminiscent of a glen plaid, with its block-patterned of checks of varying sizes. On the right side, colors are primarily dark slate blue and white with a bit of scarlet red. On the inside, the red is predominant. Beacon blankets were generally made of wool, occasionally with cotton blended in. This is tightly made, and there is nowhere to snip a fabric edge for a burn test.

CLOSURES: N/A, this is a wrap style. It ties at the waist with a corded sash that is held in place by two wide belt loops.
CONDITION: No holes or tears. Most of the robe still has the typical soft pile, but a few areas are a bit more worn, most noticeably the right front shoulder - see closeup. The maroon part of sash has gone a bit wonky near both ends - see other closeup.
